Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. She grew on an estate in South London community estate, and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. At school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions, including King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following that, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the role as Bambi in The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in episodes two and three. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Some of her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was later cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that she would leave the show after an appearance as a guest in the premiere episode of the third season. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem between 2014 and the year 2016. Madekwe got married to her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. Four of her older brothers were also in the family including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball parks since her four athletic brothers all were hockey players, baseball players, as well as both during summer and winter. Ashley did not walk; instead, she would dance. At age two and half, she found Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's love for dancing. When she was in the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical and hip hop. The top soloist at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
